About Me

I am a fourth-year undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Robotics Engineering at the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC).

Currently, I am an undergraduate researcher at UESTC HiLab under the guidance of Prof. Guotai Wang and Prof. Shaoting Zhang, where I focus on exploring fairness in vision-language models (VLMs) for medical imaging.

I will pursue a joint Ph.D. program between Shanghai AI Laboratory and Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU), with a long-term research goal of developing AI agents for scientific discovery.

Research Experience

  1. Undergraduate Researcher: Fairness in Medical Vision-Language Models

    HiLab, UESTC (05/2024 — Present)

    Mentor: Prof. Guotai Wang

First-authored paper accepted at ISBI 2025, constructing a fully fair dataset across multiple sensitive attributes (e.g., gender, age) to evaluate 4 VLMs under 5 PEFT methods. One additional first-authored paper completed and to be submitted.

  2. Visiting Student: Medical Image Analysis

    MedAILab, Westlake University (06/2025 — 08/2025)

    Mentor: Prof. Yefeng Zheng

Studied unimodal bias in medical multimodal large language models (MLLMs) for vision question answering (VQA) tasks.

  3. Research Intern: Medical Image Analysis

    NTU, Singapore (01/2024)

    Mentor: Dr. Teoh Teik Toe

Third author of a paper accepted by ICPICS 2024, investigating the impact of Squeeze-and-Excitation attention on ResNet variants for chest X-ray classification.
